I was searching all over the place for answer regarding the backward compatibility of PS3 and finally I have to find out for myself. I got the 20GB PS3 and I think my current firmware was the latest from sony (v1.32). Sony has a lot of fixing before it can say backward compatible.
Worked:
- Singstar rocks! game and 2 microphones for PS2 will work on sony PS3.
Didn't work:
- PS2 to USB adapter from radio shack
- PS2 to USB adapter from fry's electronic
- Dance pads using DDR konamix for PS1
- Logitech Driving Force USB using GT3
Blu-ray movie is WoW! @ 1080i (my tv max res), as for the game, Sony has a long way of developing these games! I have played Marvel: the ultimate alliance and gundam crossfire. They both are okay but nothing beyond my expectation (it's kind of a let down).
